Julia is a well-qualified and passionate educator with over 15 years of teaching experience. Throughout her career, she has taught young children in international settings across Qatar, the UAE, and Michigan, bringing a wealth of cultural understanding and global perspective to her classroom. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Michigan–Dearborn.
Julia is deeply committed to building meaningful relationships with her students and their families, fostering a sense of trust and authenticity that supports each child’s growth. She is especially passionate about working with young children and multilingual learners, helping them strengthen their reading and writing skills while cultivating a lifelong love of learning. Currently, Julia teaches kindergarten for APS, where she continues to inspire curiosity and confidence in her students every day. She lives in Denver with her two dogs, enjoys hiking, practicing her Spanish and Duolingo and reading in her spare time.

Mark Angerhofer’s academic experience includes obtaining a BS in Chemistry from the University of Montana, a MS in environmental chemistry from the University of Alaska – Fairbanks and a MS in civil engineering from the University of Colorado – Denver. He has over a decade’s experience working in chemistry as a laboratory director, researcher and product development chemist. He is currently putting his civil engineering background to use at the Colorado Department of Transportation.
Mark can work with a student’s schedule and treat each student with respect. This respect helps to build confidence and builds their academic skills. He is located in Denver, and a parent of three children that attend both charter and public schools. He understands that each child is different and learns according to their different culture, strength and abilities.
