
Leksy Wolk
Leksy got her degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder where she studied political science. After completing her degree, she helped found a charter school in Denver, CO while pursuing her elementary education certification from the ASPIRE program through the University of Colorado Denver. She taught kindergarten and first grade mathematics. She specializes in Cognitively Guided Instruction and early math development. Leksy has also tutored all ages K-12! She loves working with her students via Zoom to allow them to have a both educational and social experience during these socially distant times.

Keri Diexler
Keri Deixler is a Denver based artist, mom and a tobacco cessation health coach. She has over 13 years teaching experience (preschool co-ops; substitute teacher; paraprofessional and private and group art lessons through Denver Public Schools and many other studios, including her own). She loves to inspire creativity and also teaches solid drawing and painting skills that she’s learned with a minor in Fine Art from The University of Colorado, and through a Masters of Fine Art/Illustration at Academy of Art University, as well as at the Art Students League in New York and Denver. She loves the magic of words and design as well, since her degree is in Advertising/Journalism.

Charlotte Jay
Charlotte has been a teacher for 7 years! During this time, she taught all subjects in a kindergarten classroom for three years and a first and second grade classroom for one year. She taught kindergarten and first grade literacy at a Montessori school for 1 year – which was a super cool experience. Most recently, Charlotte spent two years working as a Title 1 teacher doing reading and math interventions for kindergarten through second grade students.
Charlotte has her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and after college, completed the Teach For America program. Through this program, she completed a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. In addition, Charlotte completed another Master’s degree in Reading Education. Charlotte is very passionate about teaching children how to read, and has always found a lot of joy in seeing the amazing progress that young learners can make. Charlotte can do complete reading assessments, identify reading struggles, and then create targeted lessons to help your child improve. If your child needs extra help with reading, Charlotte would love to help them to become the best reader they can be!

Samantha “Ms. Sam” Krongold
Ms. Sam is an experienced Pediatric Occupational Therapist that has helped countless children and their families for almost 20 years. Ms. Sam is a mother of twins and knows and understands the challenges of raising children with different needs and special needs. Ms. Sam specializes in handwriting and fine motor coordination. In addition, Ms. Sam focuses on sensory integration with social-emotional engagement and behavior modification. A child’s job is to play and Ms. Sam seamlessly provides creativity and fun to meet children’s goals, while exceeding the expectations of their parents.

Daniel Lipton
Daniel Lipton is a second grade teacher at the Coolidge Corner School, a public school in Brookline, Massachusetts. He has been teaching for over 18 years. In the summers, he runs a theater camp in Brookline, MA, which he founded 15 years ago. He has two sons (ages 9 and 12) and has done private tutoring (in person and online) for students in grades K-8. Daniel is certified as a math specialist, reading specialist, classroom teacher, and principal/vice principal. He received a Master’s Degree in Reading Education from Boston University and a Master’s in Education Administration from UMASS Lowell. His Bachelor’s Degree is in Elementary Education from Boston University. Daniel is passionate about integrating the arts into teaching and loves writing children’s musicals in his spare time!

Chantel Vogel
Ms. Chantel is a mom of 2 and teacher with 20 years of classroom experience working with grades 2nd to 7th . Her son is 18 and heading to college, and her daughter is 16 and a rising junior at a local Denver high school. She’s also a kitty-mom, and occasionally a furry visitor will join in on our class.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s in Literacy from Kansas State University. Locally, she spent four years teaching second grade at Swigert International School, before taking on a new challenge as the Creative Planning Project Manager at Neighborhood Art Studio. Moving from Kansas City to Wichita to Topeka to Manhattan (KS), and finally settling in Denver, teaching has always been her passion, whether it is in a classroom, modeling for adults, putting together creative art curriculum, or with small groups over technology. Let her inspire the passion for learning in your children!

Mike Belasco
Mr. Mike is Abby Belasco’s (founder) husband and business partner.
He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Colorado. Mike runs the back-office operations of Dear Abby Tutoring. He also works with high needs kids on mathematics and organizational skills.
In addition to his work with Dear Abby Tutoring, Mike runs a local internet advertising agency call Inflow.
